Biography of Anatoliy Kocherga

Anatoliy Kocherga is a Ukrainian opera singer, known for his deep bass voice.

He was born on July 9, 1947 (according to other sources - in 1949 or 1952) in the village of Samgorodok, which is now part of the Kazatinsky district, Vinnytsia region, Ukraine. In 1973, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (class of R. A. Razumova).

From 1972, he worked as an intern and from 1974, he became a soloist at the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Taras Shevchenko.

International Recognition

In 1975-1976, Anatoliy Kocherga trained at La Scala Theater in Milan. He is known for his performances as a chamber singer, with a particular affinity for vocal lyrics by composers such as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Serg Anatoliy Kocherga biography.
